Description

With a roundish shape, this variety is distinguished by its special color: orange on the bottom, and dark green around the top (also called “shoulder”). It has a crunchy flesh, combined with a strong but perfectly balanced taste.

Cooking

To be consumed raw, the Camone variety should be dressed with extra-virgin olive oil and salt. It is perfect for enhancing the taste of rice salads and cold pastas or to be married with meat or fish. Thanks to its strong taste, it’s especially suited for tomato sauce.
